About us

One kitchen,
facing the sea

Café Nomad sits on the Paseo Marítimo in Fuengirola, glass doors folded back onto the promenade and the Mediterranean directly in front. Eat, drink and be happy — that is what it says over the door, and it is roughly the whole plan.

What we're about

Beachfront goodness,
every day

The idea was simple enough: a place on the beach where the food is actually good for you, the coffee is worth crossing town for, and nobody makes you feel underdressed for walking in off the sand.

So the granola is made here, gluten-free and organic. The smoothies are pressed to order. The eggs are organic. The bread is sourdough. The coffee is organic specialty, and the plant milk costs a few cents, not a surcharge designed to punish you.

And there is one card, served from the moment we open until we close. No breakfast window, no lunch window, no explaining that the kitchen has changed over. If you want it, and we make it, you can have it.

Who comes in

Swimmers straight off the beach at half past eight. Families at eleven. People working alone at a table with a laptop and a flat white for two hours — that is fine, nobody is counting. Couples with a dog under the table. Groups of eight who ordered the whole card and are splitting it.

The American bit

The welcome is deliberately casual. No protocol, no hovering, no being walked to a table like it's a ceremony. Sit down, someone will come over, order whatever you feel like. That's it.

The kitchen

Everything is cooked to order

Nothing sits under a lamp. The granola is baked here, the juices are pressed when you order them, the eggs are poached one plate at a time.

That is also why the kitchen can swap almost anything — gluten-free bread, plant milk, an egg cooked differently. Ask at the moment you order.

The bar

Coffee worth crossing town for

Organic specialty beans, ground to order, and plant milk that costs a few cents rather than a surcharge designed to punish you.

The same bar makes the smoothies, the pressed juices and the organic-vegan lattes — Magic Mushroom, Golden Mellow, Moon Balance and the rest.

They will come
to you

Sit down wherever you like. Nobody will walk you to a table like it's a ceremony, and nobody will hover. That is on purpose.
